Name: Michelle Little
Category: Soloist
Blurb: Michelle Little is a country girl with a big heart and a big voice. This classically-trained country singer will melt your heart and move your soul. "You have to hear Michelle Little now!" Michelle Little has the country firmly in her heart and the Country Music Industry firmly in her sights. She released her new album ‘Hear Me Now’ in December 2007 and her new single ‘Free To Be Me’ is gaining national support on country music radio. 25 year-old Michelle hails from Mendooran in NSW and grew up listening to her parents’ country music collection, which included a large helping of Patsy Cline. Other influences were Reba McEntire and Bette Midler alongside the usual pop music of the day. In 2001 she headed off to Tamworth to the College of Country Music and Toyota Star Maker. She’s had her sights set firmly on a career in country music ever since. “ I just love the songs and the people” she says “especially the Patsy Cline era and big ballads. They really suit my style and the audiences really respond!” 2006 saw Michelle playing gigs in Nashville including the world famous ‘Bluebird Café’. “….Seeing how the American performers worked was such an eye opener for me. They are so committed to their craft. When I got home I was determined to show the same commitment” Michelle spent her Tamworth Festival 2008 playing showcases and promoting her new album, picking up heaps of fans along the way, selling plenty of albums. Apart from her regular gigs, Michelle represented Australian Country Music at this year’s Buddha’s Birthday Celebrations at Darling Harbour, Sydney and packed them in at her shows at the 2008 Toyota National Muster. Band Name: Led Based Paint
Category: Band
Blurb: Meet the band. . . Ben Taylor rocks the mic on lead vocals when he`s not electrocuting himself at work with LED signs. Ryan Bostock amazes the ladies with his incredible finger work on lead guitar and keyboard, when he’s not studying at the computer keyboard at Uni. Ned Raines and his sexy lime green bass keep it cool on stage while he keeps it hot in the kitchen at his day job. And finally you`ll find Mitch Poole behind his beloved drums, when he’s not banging those sticks he`s lugging 4x2`s as a builder’s labourer at Aussie Homes. From the depths of garage rock comes Sunny Coast band Led Based Paint. Literally formed in drummer Mitchs garage as a high school cover band in order to enter the national youth week song contest in March 06, the guys found their calling. The band became Led Based Paint and they progressed from the their garage to other garages - to friends parties, Uni parties and now the pub scene, all the time growing and developing their own style. The guys are out in the real world now and reserve weekends for perfecting covers and working on original material. The boys pride themselves on being able to entertain crowds of just about all ages. With set list’s that range in songs from the 60’s, to songs that are in the charts right now, they’ve got something to make anyone wanna get up and dance!
